diatomea

a modular pendant light

Diatomea is a modular system creating pendant luminaire, creating a perfect, non-reflecting table light due to Swareflex precision lenses. The aluminum cast cooling-body, inevitable for high-power Leds, is designed to create the shape of the modules. The design is inspired by the incredibly artful shape variety of the diatoms. Their efficient shell convinces with utmost stability and minimal material consumption. Based on a hexagonal structure, there are large and small modules which can be arranged in every possible way to each other. Simply put together with a little clip, a huge variety of configurations enables precise solutions for a variety of lighting scenarios.
